Annual Meeting Information
The early bird registration fee for current members is $225 until July 7, 2008, and $300 after that date. Emeritus and Student members may register for $90 until July 7, 2008 and $125 after the cut-off date. For Non-Members the fee is $300 until July 7, 2008, and $375 after the cut-off date; Emeritus and Student non-members may register for $125 until July 7, 2008, and $160 after the cut-off date. Accompanying persons register for $100, preferably before July 7, 2008.
Please note, if you wish to pay your membership dues at the time you register, please refer to the RSS website membership application on page: www.RuralSociology.org/member/application.html, fill it out and submit to the RSS Business Office (address on membership form and on the annual meeting registration form). Paying the non-member registration fee will not automatically renew your membership.
Please remember at least one author or presenter listed on the abstract submitted must pay the registration fee by July 7, 2008 or the presentation will not be included in the final program.

Meeting Registration Cancellation Policy
Meeting registration fees will be refunded less a $25 administrative service charge if a written cancellation notice is received by July 7, 2008. Written cancellations received after July 7, 2008 are subject to a $75 administrative service charge. No refunds will be issued if received after the cancellation deadline of July 28, 2008. All meeting registration cancellations must be received in writing. Send cancellation requests by mail, fax, or email to the RSS Business Office.
Audio/Visual Equipment
Overhead and digital projectors and screens will be available for each concurrent session meeting room for presentations at no charge to presenters. We encourage you to bring your laptop with the presentation loaded on it; there will be NO internet connection. If you have other audio-visual needs, such as slide projectors, VCR/TV systems, etc., please send your written request by mail, fax, or electronic mail to the RSS Business Office so proper arrangements can be made. The costs of these devices is substantial. Therefore, the RSS will rent what is formally requested and users will be billed for their use. Call for rates on other types of equipment needed (573-882-4350). You can add these costs to your registration fee on the form. Please communicate your needs to the Business Office early!
