Ronald Wimberley Student Paper Competition Recognizing Student Research Advancing Rural Quality of Life and Community Well-Being
Award Overview
Invites student papers focused on improving the quality of life in rural communities. Preference is given to research that advances understanding of rural life and health, particularly how communities adapt to scientific, economic, or health-related challenges.
Eligibility
- Current student member of RSS
Requirements
- 20–30 page paper that includes a relevant review of the literature, original analysis, a clear discussion and set of conclusions, complete references, and be written at a professional level. (Manuscripts may be co-authored if the person submitting it is the primary author)
- Submitted abstract to present at the annual meeting
Award
- Complimentary registration to the annual meeting
- $150 in Award Funds
