Law enforcement and domestic violence training Julie Yingling*, Julie Yingling,
Research examines the strengths and shortcomings of domestic violence training for law enforcement and impact on domestic violence rates and victims. In this study, we ask law enforcement officers about their domestic violence training, what domestic violence-related issues are missing from training, and what they want new officers to know. Using qualitative interviews and survey data, we explore rural, suburban, and urban differences in officer responses, needs, and domestic violence-related trends.
