Rural Sociology, the official journal of the Rural Sociological Society since 1937, publishes research on issues affecting rural people and places worldwide. The journal welcomes sociological and interdisciplinary studies, especially those advancing theory or employing diverse methodologies. Topics include impacts of local and global systems, community revitalization, demographic shifts, poverty, resource allocation, environment, and food and agriculture.
