Student Travel Grant Supports the attendance and participation of graduate and undergraduate students at the RSS Annual Meeting
Grant Overview
The Rural Sociological Society, in partnership with its Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee, is offering competitive travel grants to support graduate and undergraduate student participation at this year’s RSS Annual Meeting. These grants are designed to help offset costs associated with attending the conference.

Eligibility
- Current member of RSS
- Active participant of the meeting by presenting a paper, participating on a panel or workshop, or presenting a poster
- Pursuing a degree relevant to rural studies in an academic institution
Requirements
- Completed Student Travel Grant application submitted no later than Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11:59pm (PST)
- The JEDI Committee will announce decisions by Friday, May 15th, 2026
Grant
- Minimum of $300 in grant funds, with final amounts and the number of recipients determined by application volume and demonstrated need.
