David Peters interviewed for Iowa PBS
David Peters, Professor of Agricultural and Rural Policy at Iowa State University, was recently interviewed for an Iowa PBS segment titled “Midwest Population Gains Leave Some Rural Towns Behind.” The segment discusses how population growth in Iowa has been uneven and potentially disadvantages rural areas. He discussed the impacts of population change on agricultural and non-metro-adjacent locations in particular. He also addressed commuting and the idea of population cascade.
